On Monday, the Banjara Hills police filed a case against 69 people, including prime accused T. G. Vishwaprasad, son of T. G. Venkatesh, former state minister and Bharatiya Janata Party Rajya Sabha member from neighbouring Andhra Pradesh, for an alleged attempt to seize a prime property adjacent to the Andhra Pradesh Gems and Jewellery Park in upmarket Banjara Hills. The property, which is about half an acre in size, is estimated to be worth more than Rs 100 crore. According to police, a large number of people from Kurnool descended on the land site, which is also claimed by M/s. Ace Urban Developers Pvt. Ltd., which was founded by Chalamalasetti Anil, the founder of the renowned alternative energy giant Greeco.
